The temporary burn ban has officially been rescinded. Recent improvements in weather conditions have reduced the fire risk associated with earlier drought conditions.

Outdoor burning within Camden County is governed by all applicable local ordinances, rules, regulations, and by the laws and regulations of the State of Georgia, including requirements and guidelines issued by the Georgia Forestry Commission and the Georgia Environmental Protection Division.

As always, we encourage residents to practice safe burning habits and remain mindful of changing conditions. Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to community safety.

UPDATE #2:
The temporary burn ban was lifted on June 1, 2026.

UPDATE #1:
Although the State burn ban has ended, Camden County is still under a local temporary burn ban.

Original Post:
Reminder: The burn ban remains in effect across Camden County and all of South Georgia.

With crews and resources committed to the Brantley County fire, we need everyone’s help to prevent any new incidents.

Please postpone all outdoor burning. Even a small fire could pull critical teams away from where they’re needed most.

Your cooperation helps keep our community safe. Thank you for doing your part!

We hope everyone is having a great day here in Kingsland !!!

Our firefighters participated in an extrication tool exercise which involved picking up an egg with the Hydraulic Spreader/ Cutter Combi tool and placing onto another location. This drill may seem unimportant and unserious, but actually builds on these different aspects:

1. Equipment Knowledge
2. Weighted Endurance
3. Tool Operations and Safety Practices
4. Company Training & Accountability

We pride ourselves in the training that we do so that we may provide a top tier service to the citizens of Kingsland, but who says we can’t make it fun at the same time while being safe ‼️
