The Trump Accounts app is officially live today!

When I voted for the Working Families Tax Cuts, one of the things I was most proud of was the creation of Trump Accounts, the most transformational investment in America's future we've ever made.

Here's what you need to know: Every child born between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2028 receives a $1,000 federal seed contribution. Families can contribute up to $5,000 per year. That initial $1,000 could grow to $5,800 by age 18 — and $200,000 by age 55. All from a single $1,000 investment.

Families can begin the process of opening an account by filing IRS Form 4547 to establish a Trump Account for an eligible child and to elect the $1,000 Treasury seed contribution. You can visit trumpaccounts.gov to learn more.

My heart goes out to the people of Cocke County and Greene County as they deal with dangerous flash flooding this morning.

First responders are actively conducting rescues in the Bybee and Parrotsville areas, and I am grateful for every single one of them who showed up to help their neighbors in a time of need.

If you are in the affected area, please heed the warnings from local officials and stay off the roads. Emergency workers need clear access to reach those in danger.

The following roads are currently closed or impassable:

State Route 160 (at Fowler Road and Bybee Road)

Holt Hollow Road

Fowler Grove Road

Saint Tide Hollow Road

Clear Creek Road

My office is monitoring the situation closely. Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected. 🙏

Years ago, a man walked into my pharmacy and pointed a gun at my face. Nobody called it a misunderstanding. We called it what it was: robbery.

Today, fraudsters are stealing billions from Medicare and Medicaid—money that belongs to seniors, disabled children, and vulnerable families who depend on these programs. Washington has treated it like a bureaucratic inconvenience for too long.

Thanks to House Republicans and President Trump, that changes now.

When the COVID public health emergency ended, Medicare stopped reimbursing pharmacists for testing & treating common respiratory illnesses—leaving seniors without easy access to care.

This week I supported the Veterans' 2nd Amendment Protection Act, a bill I'm proud to cosponsor, that would prohibit the VA from trampling on our veterans’ Second Amendment rights.

When the VA appoints a fiduciary to help a disabled veteran manage their benefits, bureaucrats can immediately report that veteran to the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS)—stripping them of their Second Amendment rights with no court ruling, no hearing, and no due process.

There is zero data to support that needing financial help makes a veteran dangerous. Yet more than 250,000 veterans have been reported to the FBI this way since 1993.

Our veteran heroes deserve the same due process as every other American. I voted YES on this commonsense bill to make sure those who sacrificed for our freedoms never come home to have them taken away.
