Congratulations to Kingsports newest future sailor, Future sailor Eden Pena!

Future sailor Pena signed her contract today as a Culinary specialist!

She will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving meals that keep Sailors fueled and mission-ready. They manage every aspect of food service operations, from menu planning and recipe preparation to inventory control and sanitation. Culinary Specialists also operate dining facilities, bake shops, and storerooms both at sea and ashore. Their work ensures that the crew receives nutritious, high-quality meals regardless of location or conditions. Beyond cooking, they play an important role in morale by maintaining a comfortable dining environment and providing special meals for holidays and events, making them essential to daily life in the Navy!

Signed his contract to be a steel worker! Their duties include welding, cutting, shaping, and assembling steel structures used in buildings, bridges, and other critical facilities built during military operations. Steelworkers also repair metal components on equipment, vehicles, and infrastructure, often working in challenging environments at home or overseas. 🇺🇸⚓️⚓️
