Keep Kingsport Beautiful kicked off this year’s Beautification Awards Tuesday night by presenting the May winners at the Kingsport Board of Mayor & Aldermen meeting. Residential winners for May were Rod and Linda Gemayel, 457 Berkeley Road; Becky Schamore, 1378 Catawba Street; Kevin and Suzann Cramer, 2221 Hermitage Drive; Scott and Carolyn Wallace, 2112 Tallwood Drive; Greg and Nancy Miller, 2633 Halifax Drive; and Harold and Linda Martin, 1128 Buchelew Drive. The business winner for May was Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street. The church winner for May was Preston Hills Presbyterian Church, 4701 Orebank Road. And the redevelopment winner for May was the Egan Construction property at 301 E. Main Street. Sponsored by Boehm Landscaping, the Beautification Awards recognize homeowners, businesses and churches for maintaining and beautifying their properties.
