What a beautiful evening as we close out this chapter.
Tomorrow is Election Day.
Four years ago, we began this journey with a simple vision: to bring people together and move Roane County forward. We believed that through controlled growth and responsible spending, we could build a future that benefits everyone while protecting the small-town feel that makes this place home.
And we did exactly that. We grew jobs, lowered taxes, and put our county on the map. But as many of you know, the road to progress isn’t always smooth. This campaign, in particular, has been one of the greatest challenges of my life. It has been heartbreaking to see the level of division, the blatant lies, and the personal hatred sent our way. At times, it has been draining. Not just for me, but for those I love most.
While I have worked tirelessly from day one, I am not the only one who has given everything to this mission. The true sacrifice often happens behind the scenes. My wife, my son, my parents, and my entire circle of family and friends have sacrificed their time, their sleep, and their peace of mind to support me. They have stood tall against the negativity and the noise because they believe in Roane County as much as I do. To ask them for another four years is a heavy request, and it is a debt of gratitude I can never truly repay.
My stance has never wavered. Change is coming to Roane County and we are growing whether we like it or not. The choice tomorrow is simple: we can continue to manage that growth with a proven team and a clear plan, or we can let that growth manage us.
I’ve never claimed to be perfect, but I promise you I have given you everything I’ve got, and I will continue to do so. We have the momentum, we have the experience, and we have the heart to finish what we started.
I would be honored to have your vote tomorrow. Let’s choose progress over division.
Let’s go win this thing.
