Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office August 2026 —NEWS RELEASE

Anyone with information related to any ongoing investigations is encouraged to contact the Sheriff’s Office. You can also submit an anonymous tip on our website or call our anonymous hotline at (816) 586-COPS.

On 08/03/2026, a deputy took a report of an order of protection violation that occurred at the Caldwell County Detention Center.

On 08/03/2026, at 3:40 pm, a deputy took a walk-in report of a scam that occurred on a Facebook marketplace post.

On 08/03/2026, at 5:01 pm, a 53-year-old female from Hamilton, was stopped at Highway 13 and Jesse in Hamilton and cited for speeding (10 over).

On 08/04/2026, at 11:43 am, a deputy arrested a 68-year-old female from Braymer, MO, on a Caldwell County warrant for damage to jail property. She remains in custody on a $10,000 cash only bond.

On 08/05/2026, at 1:10 pm, a 24-year-old female from Harrisonville, MO, was stopped at Highway 13 and Jesse in Kingston and cited for speeding (10 over).

On 08/06/2026, at 11:45 am, a deputy arrested a 44-year-old female from Bethany, MO, at Supervision Services at Hamilton on a Clinton County bond violation warrant for failing to report as directed and a positive drug patch. The original charges for the warrant were possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

On 08/09/2026, at 12:07 am, a 22-year-old male from Polo, MO, was stopped at Highway 13 and State Route P in Hamilton and cited for failing to register a motor vehicle.

On 08/11/2026 at 2:40 pm, a 51-year-old male from Polo, MO, was arrested on multiple Clay County warrants including unlawful possession of a fi***rm and possession of a controlled substance.

On 08/15/2026, a deputy stopped a vehicle at Highway 13 and Oak, Polo, MO, which resulted in the arrest of a 36-year-old male from Polo, MO, on an active Greene County warrant for non-support. The subject was also cited for failure to register with DOR, failure to provide proof of financial responsibility, and an equipment violation.

On 08/16/2026, at 5:45 pm, deputies responded to an address on Maple in Polo, MO, for a domestic dispute. The parties involved separated, and no arrests were made.

On 08/17/2026, at 7:04 pm, a deputy took a report of a lost or stolen license plate.

On 08/17/2026, the Caldwell County detective investigated an assault that occurred at the jail. A report was forwarded to the Caldwell County prosecutor for consideration in filing formal charges.

On 08/18/2026, at 2:10 pm, a 36-year-old male was arrested at the 1400 block of English Oak at Hideaway Lakes in Polo, MO, on an active Ray County warrant for failing to register as a s*x offender.

On 11/22/2026, investigators with the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office received a report of a child who was s*xually assaulted by their mother's lived-in boyfriend. The investigation led to the arrest of a 52-year-old male, who fled to Arkansas to avoid apprehension. The child's mother, a 35-year-old female from Breckenridge, MO, was also arrested for endangering the welfare of a child and abuse/neglect of a child.

On 08/22/2026, at 6:27 pm, a 20-year-old male from Gallatin, MO, was stopped at Highway 13 and Jesse in Kingston and cited for speeding (17 over).

On 08/23/2026 at 9:55 am, Caldwell County deputies responded to a business in Polo, MO, for a report of stealing. Two juveniles were identified as suspects, and a report has been forwarded to the Caldwell County Juvenile Office.

On 08/24/2026, at 10:00 am, a deputy was conducting an investigation at the Caldwell County Detention Center for a report of a subject in their parking lot with no driver's license. The subject, a 29-year-old female from Cameron, Caldwell County, MO, was gone upon arrival, and a report was forwarded to the prosecutor's office.

On 08/24/2026, at 6:42 pm, a 43-year-old male from Kidder, MO, was stopped at State Route J and 5th Street in Kidder and was cited for failure to provide proof of financial responsibility and careless and imprudent driving.

On 08/24/2026, at 4:31 pm, deputies responded on Maple in Kidder, MO, for a report of trespassing. It was reported that 3 individuals moved into the residence without the owner’s knowledge or consent. The investigation resulted in the arrest of a 51-year-old male, a 46-year-old female, and a 26-year-old male for 2nd degree burglary, tampering with property of another, and property damage.

On 08/29/26 at 12:30 pm, deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at an address on Park Street in the City of Hamilton. The victim was injured but refused to pursue criminal charges. The parties involved separated.

On 08/31/2026, at 8:47 pm, a deputy responded to an address on Stoutmore in Polo, for a report of a juvenile breaking into vehicles. The juvenile was identified, and a report was forwarded to the Caldwell County juvenile officer.

Due to last night’s severe storm, the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department is currently unable to receive phone calls or online communications.

If you are experiencing an emergency, please dial 911 immediately. Emergency calls are still being answered and will be routed to the appropriate dispatch center without interruption.

For non-emergency assistance, all calls are currently being rerouted to the Cameron Police Department. Residents may also contact the Cameron Police Department directly for non-emergency matters if needed. 816-632-6521

We will notify the public as soon as our phone and internet services are fully restored.
