Student American Library Association at URI URI's Student Chapter of the American Library Association. As mentioned on the home page, our group has been around for some time, but was relatively inactive.

Student ALA at URI is a student chapter of the American Library Association, which is the main professional organization for librarians and libraries. It is now being revitalised and reinvigorated— with your help! The organization is here to support its members' professional growth, GSLIS, and the profession as a whole. Since Fall 2009, we have held potlucks, coordinated trips to ALA Midwinter, an

SALA is hosting a grant writing panel with URI professional grant writers Katie McGwin and Jenn Brackett and Cara Mitnick from the Graduate School on Thursday, October 14th at 6:30 pm on Zoom.
