For the second time in 24 hours, KFD paramedics have transported critical patients to Boston Hospitals for care. Currently A2 is at Beth Israel Deconess with a medical patient. Last evening a patient was transported to a Boston trauma center for injuries sustained in a dirt bike accident. We are fortunate to have outstanding paramedics and be close to some of the best medical care around.

Rest Easy

It is with a heavy heart that we send our condolences to Duxbury K9 Officer Steve Hall and Duxbury Police Department for the passing of their loyal K9 partner, Sirk who gave everything in service to others.

K9 Sirk was a faithful partner who served the Town of Duxbury and Plymouth County with unwavering dedication. Over the years, he answered countless calls for service, assisting on tracks for both criminal suspects and missing persons. No matter the situation, Sirk was always ready to work and serve his community.

Rest easy, K9 Sirk. Thank you for your service. Your watch is over.

Join us in keeping in our thoughts and prayers, the Boston Fire Department and the family of Firefighter Bobby Killduff, Rescue Company 2, who made the ultimate sacrifice last night while protecting the citizens of Boston and the City he loved. Rest Easy. We’ll take it from here.

Our hearts, our prayers, and our most solemn condolences this morning are with the family of Boston Fire Department Firefighter Robert Kilduff Jr. and his brother and sister firefighters on Boston Fire Rescue Company 2 and across the Department. There are no words to capture the depth of grief or the loss to the fire service and the Commonwealth.

Two workers from this incident were driven to a parking lot in Kingston where KFD and PD were notified of a person who had “fallen”. Due to a language barrier, it was unclear exactly what had occurred. A third worker was able to fill in the missing information. A second KFD ambulance was called to the scene and both parties were transported to the hospital with varying injuries. Duxbury Fire was immediately notified and responded to investigate.

Firefighters responded to Redhawk Lane for a collapsed wall under construction. Two patients were transported with various injuries to a local trauma center. OSHA has been notified and responding. Thank you Kingston Fire for rendering patient care.
