The Fraternal Order of Police - Lodge 64 is proud to partner with the Kingston Police Department to support Kingston's 300th Anniversary celebration!

We're excited to announce the launch of our fundraiser featuring limited-edition Kingston 300th Anniversary patches. Proceeds from patch sales will be donated to the Kingston 300th Committee to help fund the many events and celebrations planned throughout the year.

These commemorative patches have been authorized by the Chief of Police to be worn by officers for 2026. You will begin to see officers sporting this new patch around town in place of the traditional KPD patch worn on the left sleeve of our uniforms. This is a great opportunity to show your support for the community while commemorating a historic milestone for our town by purchasing one (or more) for yourself.

How to purchase: Sales are being done in-person only at 244 Main Street (Kingston Police Station.) Payments will be accepted in cash or check only. Patches are being sold for $10.00 a piece. We are not taking orders by phone or online and patches are not available to ship at this time.

These patches are very limited, so don't wait!

🚨 Battle of the Badges Tournament is Back! 🚨

It’s almost that time again and we’re looking for teams to compete in this year’s Battle of the Badges Tournament!

Calling all Police, Fire, EMS, Hospitals, Corrections, and Public Safety Dispatch teams — start putting your rosters together! Last year was an incredible time with an amazing turnout from departments all across Massachusetts. We even had interest from out-of-state teams, but we would have gone over our limit for the day!

Depending on the number of teams this year, we may look at adding another day or even an evening bracket if needed.

📅 Game Day: Saturday, August 1st
📌 Deposit: ½ of the team fee ($300) is due by June 15th to lock in your spot

We had over 20 teams compete last year, and we’re hoping to make this year even bigger.

👉 Stay tuned for more details, and start checking interest within your departments now!

If your department is interested, please email Mike La Natra at [email protected], with a contact person so they can be added to the tournament email list when registration opens.

Let’s make this year’s tournament even bigger and better! 💪

KIngston’s 2024 4th Annual Battle of the Badges Softball 🥎 Tourney!

A fantastic day at Pottle Street in Kingston yesterday. 18 total Police, Fire, EMS, and Sheriffs Dept teams battling it out at the 4th annual Battle of the Badges. As always I love doing this event and look forward to next year with Mr. Heath Howell by my side once again in 2025!
A Special thank you to our sponsors from Stephen Coe with the SWAT food truck, to the Galway Girl Irish shop, State Rep Kathy La Natra, Loan Depot, McGovern Municipal HQ, Beechwood Bats, Signs by Design, 42 Parallel, and the Hilltop Athletic Association. Without them this couldn’t have been successful with feeding our hungry ball players and keeping them hydrated.
This event could not have even been put on successfully without our field maintenance guys from KYBSL - Pat Rooney, Pat Young, and Jay Craft killing it on grooming and lining the fields, setting up the proper distances, and leaving everything for me in pristine condition for the event. It truly shows!!! Shawn McMahon once again for manning the grill for burgers and dogs and Lydia running the helm at the concession stand with organizing and keeping it running smoothly start to finish and keeping McMahon in check. Lastly, but not least, Jack La Natra, James O’Neil, Harry Blaisdale, and Nick Doucette for working with setting up and breaking down from sunrise to sunset!
Umpires Brian Carney, Frank DiCristofaro, and Zach did a fantastic job and thank you for volunteering for us!
Pictures and winning team coming up!

For those that didn't know, Hartford PD lost an Officer in a traffic accident last Wednesday night. Their cruiser was struck by a vehicle that was fleeing a traffic stop in a different area of the city. Officer Bobby Garten was killed in the accident and his partner, Officer Brian Kearney is still hospitalized with serious injuries. We were told by our friends at the CT GUNS HC that Brian is looking for department patches. We are asking that any department that can, please send Brian a patch. Patches can be sent to:

Hartford FOP Lodge 30
Attn: Kearney Patch Collection
PO Box 1568
Hartford, CT 06144

Please keep the Hartford PD and the Garten and Kearney families in your thoughts and prayers as they mourn the loss of Bobby and hope for a speedy recovery for Brian.
