You can keep up to date with major news stories from around with world with free access to FIVE major newspapers.

The New York Times, (including NY Times in Spanish), the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, the Chicago Tribune, and the Los Angeles Times are accessible for free to all Ulster County residents with a library card! All residents of Ulster County are eligible for a free library card which can be obtained at their local library, or on their library’s website.

Take advantage of our museum passes to visit the FDR Library and Museum located in the historic town of Hyde Park. FDR constructed the Library and Museum to "simultaneously preserve and provide public access to the records of his presidency." (fdrlibrary.org)

May is Online Tools and Tech Help Month.

Today's world revolves around online accessibility and libraries are part of that! Public libraries often have digital resources such as an online catalog, reading platforms, library events, learning platforms, and much, MUCH more! Many of these resources are available to library card holders 24/7! Library staff are trained to help patrons with most questions and troubleshoot tech glitches that may happen with an online tool or device it is used on such as getting patrons established on reading platforms like Libby and Hoopla!

Public libraries also often offer tech help for the public. Need help learning how to navigate a new laptop or tablet? Not familiar with Microsoft suite or Google apps? Knowledgeable library staff can assist you with these and other tech needs! Not sure if your library offers tech help? Contact them and ask about tech help and what their procedures are!

The Ulster County Library Association offers museum passes to the Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum located in Poughkeepsie, NY!

These passes admit up to 5 people (must include at least 1 adult) and you must have your library card AND the physical pass at arrival. These passes are available only through your local library (no digital copies) and have a 3 day loan period.
