June is Pride Month! πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ

Research shows that LGBTQ+ individuals experience intimate partner violence at rates equal to or higher than their heterosexual and cisgender peers.

Studies have found that:

- Nearly 44% of le***an women and 61% of bisexual women experience intimate partner violence in their lifetime.

- Approximately 26% of gay men and 37% of bisexual men experience intimate partner violence.

- Nearly half of transgender people report experiencing sexual violence at some point in their lives.

Many LGBTQ+ survivors face additional barriers when seeking help, including fear of discrimination, lack of affirming services, limited access to supportive services, etc.

At Marie Detty New Directions, we believe that EVERYONE deserves to feel safe, respected, and supported.

This Pride Month, we stand with LGBTQ+ survivors and reaffirm our commitment to providing compassionate, inclusive services to all who need them.

Always remember, you are not alone! β€οΈπŸ§‘πŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ’™πŸ’œ
