I've been assured by Franklin Township Administration that everything at the park will be restored once the new playground equipment has been installed. That installation is scheduled for early next week, weather permitting.

Crosswalk at Academy and Euclid Streets.
KVAC has requested a lighted pedestrian crosswalk at the corner of Academy Street and Euclid Street. The South Brunswick Township police department reviewed the sight and have signed off on the crosswalk. The next step in the process is a review by the Engineering Department who will evaluate the sight as per state law. It is currently with Engineering. Their recommendations will be forwarded to the South Brunswick Council upon completion.

Lower Speed Limits in South Brunswick!
South Brunswick Township has approved lowering the speed limit on Academy Street from 30 mph to 25 mph and on Mapleton Road from 40 mph to 35 mph. It was approved two weeks ago and the signs went up this week. Thanks to the South Brunswick Township Council and the SB police for their support and for getting it finalized so quickly.

Franklin Township is coming through for Kingston! At their June 22 meeting, the Township Council approved contracts for upgrading township playgrounds. Our Kingston Community Playground (near the Ying Hua School) will be getting new playground equipment and a new rubber playing surface!!!
The playground equipment will include the addition of swings which were requested by some of the children in Kingston! I big "Thank You" to Councilman Ted Chase for his efforts in facilitating the addition of the swings to our revamp! The cost of the new equipment will be $97,500; the cost of the new rubber playing surface will be $75,500 for a total of roughly $173,000!
Will post a timeframe when possible.

It took a while, but after much work and cooperation our lighted school crossing sign was recently installed at the Ying Hua International School! Working with both Franklin Township and Somerset County, KVAC saw this long awaited school crossing come to fruition and created a safer environment for both the YHIS and all neighborhood students! Thanks to all involved!!!

We now have a lovely path in the Kingston Park thanks to Franklin Township!
