September 15 - New York Senate District 39

September 29 - New York Senate Districts 41 and 51, and Assembly District 103

October 27 - U.S. Congressional Districts 18 and 19

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Alpha Gamma Eta Omega Chapter, in partnership
with Calvary Presbyterian Church, League of Women Voters of the Mid-Hudson Region, and the Newburgh Free Library will host a nonpartisan candidate forum:

📅 Tuesday, September 15th 2026
⏰ 6 p.m.
📍Calvary Presbyterian Church - 120 South Street, Newburgh

The forum will feature the two candidates seeking to represent New York’s 39th State Senate District: incumbent State Senator Rob Rolison and challenger Lisa Kaul.

Held in recognition of National Voter Registration Day, the forum is designed to promote informed civic participation and give community members an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates about the issues affecting the district.
Community members are encouraged to submit questions in advance for consideration during the forum.

Voter registration and educational resources will also be available to help eligible residents register to vote, verify their registration information, and prepare for the upcoming election. The forum is free and open to the public, and all community members are encouraged to attend.
