🚒 City of Kingston Fire Department showed UP today! 🚒

We’d like to extend a huge thank you to the KFD for joining us for storytime today! We got to see a full dress out, learn fire safety tips, listen to a story, and see and touch a real fire engine!

We had such a fun time and can’t wait to have KFD back for another storytime on September 2nd!

We are so deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Dolly Parton.

Over the past 31 years Dolly Parton's Imagination Library has provided children over 300 million books. Many of whom live right here in Roane County.

We are so very thankful for her, this program, and the futures she has changed by introducing books to children from birth until 5 years old.

She will be deeply missed.

📚CALLING ALL YOUNG ADULT BOOK LOVERS 📚

The interest meeting for Young Adult Book Club (Multi-Genre) is in ONE WEEK!

Tuesday, September 1st @ 6PM we will begin our journey into the world of Young Adult books!

Ages 16+ are welcome! We will be establishing our reading schedule, setting expectations, answering questions, and picking our very first book!

🇺🇸 REMINDER 🇺🇸

Please join us on 9/11 @ 5:30PM for a special presentation by Kingston Fire Department.

They will be giving a presentation about the timeline of events as well as the timeline from the firefighters side of the brave men and women who answered the call that day. They will be bringing gear to complete a challenge in, showing us some firefighting equipment, as well as bringing a piece of history from Ground Zero.

Chow Force One will be selling dinner from 4:30 to 7:30.

This presentation is free and no registration is required. We hope to see you there!

In honor of the events of 9/11/01 the Kingston Fire Department will be leading a session on the history, timeline, and events that occurred on September 11th, 2001. Please join us as we learn more in depth details and get to explore some firefighting equipment that would have been used that day and gear up for a challenge where you’ll get to try on full turnout gear and complete a carry challenge around the library.
This is also the perfect opportunity to come meet some of the firefighters working hard for our community!

Chow Force One will be set up for business from 4:30 to 7:30 so come grab dinner before or after the program!
