🩸🦇 FANGS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN… AND SAVE LIVES! 🦇🩸

Kingston High School & Community are hosting a Blood Drive on Wednesday, September 2, from 8 AM–3 PM in the Gym Lobby, and we’re asking our Enos Cardinal Cove community to come out and support this important cause!

❤️ Give blood. Save a life. Support YOUR local fire department! ❤️

There’s an extra reason for our community to roll up a sleeve! If the blood drive reaches its goal, Enos Cardinal Cove Volunteer Fire Department will receive a monetary donation through the Greater Good program. 🚒❤️

So come out, donate, and help us reach that goal! Every donor can make a difference for someone in need—and your donation can help support your local volunteer firefighters, too!

🔥🚫 BURN BAN EXTENDED — MARSHALL COUNTY 🚫🔥

Enos Cardinal Cove Volunteer Fire Department wants to remind everyone that the Marshall County Burn Ban has been extended for another 14 days, effective August 25, 2026.

🚫 NO OUTDOOR BURNING
🚫 NO CAMPFIRES
🚫 NO PILE BURNING
🚫 NO FIREWORKS OR ANYTHING THAT COULD SET FIRE TO THE GROUND

The burn ban will be re-evaluated on September 8, 2026.

Please take this seriously. Dry conditions can allow a small fire to quickly become a dangerous wildfire, putting homes, property, and our firefighters at risk.

If you see outdoor burning, please report it to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department at 580-795-2221.

🔥 VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS NEEDED! 🚒

Enos Cardinal Cove Volunteer Fire Department is looking for dedicated men and women who are ready to serve their community!

We are currently accepting applications for Volunteer Firefighters.

To be considered, applicants must:

✅ Live within the department’s designated service area
✅ Be able to successfully pass a background check
✅ Be able to successfully pass a drug screening
✅ No ma*****na use, including medical ma*****na, is permitted for members while serving with the department, in accordance with department policy and applicable requirements for emergency personnel
✅ Be willing and able to complete all required firefighter training within the required timeframes
✅ Be willing to attend department meetings, training, and emergency calls
✅ Be committed to serving our community and working as part of a team

🚨 This is a serious commitment. When the tones drop, our community depends on us to respond safely, professionally, and ready to serve.

Residents of our community, please remember that a burn ban is currently in effect. 🚫🔥

We ask everyone to please refrain from all outdoor burning while the burn ban remains in place. If you observe outdoor burning, please report it to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department at 580-795-2221.

⚠️ Please be aware: Violations can result in a citation.

Today we honor the brave men and women who volunteer their time, energy, and courage to serve their communities. ❤️

Our volunteer firefighters leave their families, jobs, homes, and everyday lives at a moment’s notice to answer the call—whether it’s a medical emergency, structure fire, vehicle accident, search and rescue, or helping a neighbor in need.

They don’t do it for recognition. They do it because they care about their community and the people in it.

🔥🚨 AMENDMENT TO BURN BAN NOTICE 🚨🔥

Please be advised that the Marshall County Burn Ban includes the use of fireworks and any activity that could potentially ignite or set fire to the ground.

With the current dry conditions, even a small spark can quickly start a grass or brush fire and spread beyond control.

🚫 No outdoor burning
🚫 No fireworks
🚫 No activities that could ignite vegetation or set the ground on fire

Please help us protect our homes, property, community, and firefighters by following the burn ban until it has been officially lifted.

With the current dry conditions, please DO NOT BURN until the burn ban has been lifted. These conditions can cause a fire to spread quickly and become difficult to control, putting homes, property, and our firefighters at risk.

🚫 Please do not burn anything until the ban is lifted

Our volunteer firefighters are already responding to calls and working hard to protect our community. A fire that gets out of control places an unnecessary strain on our department and neighboring departments.

🌡️ HEAT ADVISORY – STAY SAFE! 🌡️

Dangerously high temperatures are expected. The Enos Cardinal Cove Volunteer Fire Department urges everyone to take precautions to prevent heat-related illness.

☀️ Drink plenty of water—even if you’re not thirsty
☀️ Avoid strenuous outdoor activity during peak heat
☀️ Wear light-colored, lightweight clothing
☀️ Take frequent breaks in shade or air conditioning
☀️ Never leave children, older adults, or pets in a parked vehicle—even briefly
☀️ Check on elderly neighbors and those without reliable A/C

⚠️ Heat illness warning signs: confusion, fainting, hot/dry skin, or not sweating. Call 911 immediately.

Our firefighters are working in these extreme conditions too—please help keep them safe by staying hydrated and avoiding unnecessary emergencies.

The members of the Enos Cardinal Cove Volunteer Fire Department would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who brought additional bottled water to the station today.

The overwhelming support from our community means more than words can express. Your generosity helps keep our firefighters hydrated and safe while responding to emergencies in this extreme Oklahoma heat.

Thanks to your donations, we are well stocked on bottled water for the time being, so there is no current need for additional water donations. We truly appreciate everyone who took the time to help.

It is an honor to serve such a caring and supportive community. Thank you for always standing behind your volunteer firefighters!

A huge THANK YOU from all of us at Enos Cardinal Cove Volunteer Fire Department!

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Twisted Anchor Bar & Grill in Buncombe Creek, and the many generous individuals throughout our community who donated cases of water to our department.

With these Oklahoma summer temperatures, staying hydrated is essential for the safety and well-being of our firefighters as they respond to emergencies and serve our community. Your generosity helps ensure our volunteers are able to stay healthy, focused, and ready to answer the call whenever needed.

We are truly blessed to live in a community that continually supports its volunteer fire department. Your kindness and willingness to give make a real difference, and we could not do what we do without you.
