ROANE COUNTY, US 27 at SR 61: Motorists should be alert for new traffic patterns and possible lane closures at various
times through this project. Motorists should be alert for workers present, changing conditions, and use extreme caution
through this area.

ROANE/ LOUDON COUNTY, SR 95 Bridge over Clinch River: The SR 95 Bridge over the Clinch River is reduced to
one lane controlled by a temporary traffic signal through this bridge repair project. This closure will remain in place
around the clock. Motorists should be alert for new traffic patterns, be prepared to stop, expect delays, and use extreme
caution through this area. A wide-load detour is in place. To avoid
delays, motorists should consider alternate routes.

We are monitoring the potential for scattered showers and thunderstorms across East Tennessee this afternoon and evening as a weak cold front moves through the region.

A few storms may become strong to severe, with damaging wind gusts being the primary concern. While the overall severe weather threat remains limited, isolated storms could produce strong downburst winds capable of causing damage.

Additional hazards include:
• Frequent lightning, which may impact outdoor activities and events.
• Small hail, with most hail expected to remain below severe criteria.
• A low risk of localized flash flooding due to abundant moisture in the atmosphere.

The strongest storms are expected to occur from late afternoon through the early evening hours, and forecasters have high confidence in this timing. Confidence is medium to high that some impacts will occur, though confidence remains lower regarding the potential for isolated significant wind gusts.

We encourage you to remain weather aware throughout the day, especially if you have outdoor plans. Be prepared to seek shelter if thunderstorms approach and monitor trusted weather sources for the latest forecasts and any watches or warnings that may be issued.

June 9, 2026,motorists should be alert for possible mobile lane closures between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. as crews perform
roadway maintenance activities. Motorists should be alert for workers present, slow or stopped traffic, expect potential
delays, and use extreme caution through this area.

ROANE COUNTY, I-40 East and West between Mile Markers 350.2 and 350.6: On Sunday, June 7, 2026, motorists
should be alert for possible temporary lane closures between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform
guardrail repairs. Motorists should be alert for workers present, expect potential delays, and use extreme caution through
this area.

The Roane County Office of Emergency Services, Roane County Hazardous Materials Team, EOC personnel, and Roane County EMS will be participating in an emergency exercise at ORNL on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. The media release is below.

OAK RIDGE, Tenn., May 27, 2026 -- Emergency responders from the Department of Energy and Oak Ridge National Laboratory, along with federal, state, and local emergency management personnel, will conduct an emergency exercise on Wednesday, June 3 at ORNL.

The public may observe emergency responders simulating response activities and performing environmental monitoring or sampling in the area surrounding the Oak Ridge Reservation. These activities are part of the exercise.

The exercise will begin at approximately 8 a.m. EDT and conclude around 3:30 p.m.

This event is one of a series of emergency exercises conducted regularly by the DOE facilities in Oak Ridge. The exercises test the ability of emergency personnel to respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations and ensure that the public, site employees, and the environment would be protected in the event of an actual emergency at the Oak Ridge Reservation.
