We’re excited to invite the community to join our Michael Dunn Center family for our Annual Picnic, generously sponsored by Food City!

📅 Friday, September 25

Join us for an afternoon filled with food, fellowship, and FUN! We’ll have:

This past Friday, we gathered at Shoney's for our annual Work Programs Breakfast, a tradition our team looks forward to each year. 💙💛

This event provides an opportunity to recognize and thank our Work Programs staff for their dedication, hard work, and commitment throughout the year. 🍂🎃 Fall is in the air! Some of our ladies recently enjoyed a fun shopping trip to Lowe's, where they spent time browsing all the beautiful fall décor and spooky Halloween decorations. From pumpkins and autumn colors to festive displays, there was plenty to see and enjoy!

Today, we honor and celebrate the life of Michael Dunn, whose legacy continues to guide and inspire the work of Michael Dunn Center every day.

While Michael is no longer with us, the impact of his life lives on through the countless individuals and families who have found support, opportunity, and hope because of the vision that bears his name. His legacy is reflected in every achievement celebrated, every barrier overcome, and every life empowered through our mission.

As we remember Michael on his birthday, we are reminded of the lasting difference one person can make. His compassion, spirit, and influence continue to shine brightly throughout our community and across Tennessee.

Happy Birthday, Michael. Your legacy remains at the heart of all we do, and we are grateful every day for the path you helped create for so many. ❤❤❤

It’s always a pleasure to share more about the work happening every day at Michael Dunn Center, from recent news and exciting initiatives to the many ways we continue working to empower those with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our community.

Our Roane County Early Intervention group had a wonderful time at yesterday’s socialization at the Harriman Community Center All-Inclusive Playground & Splash Pad!

As the weather begins to cool, we know our splash pad days are becoming fewer, but we have enjoyed every fun-filled visit this summer. Seeing children and families come together to play, learn, and make memories has made these outings so special.

Now we're ready to trade swimsuits for football games, colorful leaves, and all the fun that autumn brings! 🍂🏈

Now Hiring: 2nd Shift Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)!

Are you energetic, compassionate, and looking for a career with purpose? At Michael Dunn Center, our DSPs do more than provide support, they help individuals build independence, create meaningful experiences, and stay connected to their communities.
In this role, you'll spend your evenings helping individuals enjoy the things they love, whether that's going shopping, attending community events, visiting parks, bowling, going to movies, enjoying live music, attending church, cheering on their favorite sports teams, or simply sharing a meaningful conversation. You'll help support personal goals, encourage social connections with friends and family, and create opportunities for individuals to live fulfilling, person-centered lives.

We're looking for team members with a positive attitude, a caring heart, and a desire to make a difference. Experience with special diets, diabetes management, mental health support, or providing care to individuals with unique needs is a plus, but not required. We provide training to help you succeed.

• Starting Pay: $16.30/hr

Our friends had a fantastic time enjoying all the sights, sounds, excitement, and fun of the circus! From the amazing performances to plenty of smiles and laughter, it was an outing to remember. ❤️

We are so incredibly grateful to 7 Brew for choosing Michael Dunn Center as the recipient of their recent "Caffeine for a Cause" fundraising weekend! ☕💙

The incredible generosity shown through this event will have a meaningful impact on the lives of the people we support. Funds raised will help support programs, services, and opportunities that empower those we serve to live, learn, work, and thrive in our community.

We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the City of Harriman and our amazing community members for showing up, showing support, and helping make this event such a success! Seeing our community come together for a great cause reminds us just how fortunate we are to call this area home. ❤️
