TOMORROW! August 22nd at 6pm join the African Roots Community Center in collaboration with the Anarchist Black Cross for an incarcerated letter writing campaign 📨

The Anarchist Black Cross exists to support our neighbors who are incarcerated and fighting for freedom. They support folks by providing support in numerous ways including emotional, material and physical support in the fight against white supremacy, capitalism and patriarchy.

ALL ARE WELCOME! This is a dinner program every month where we gather, eat food and meet our neighbors.

Bring food or just bring yourself! There are always vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and kid friendly food options. If you are coming by UCAT the Blue route comes to ARCC every hour until 8:30 🚎

Black August began in San Quentin State Prison to commemorate the deaths of brothers, Jonathan P Jackson and George Jackson. Join ARCC Saturday August 22nd to honor this month by connecting with out neighbors and families on the inside.

Meet fathers, mothers and connect with revolutionaries. The Incarcerated letting writing project begins at 6:00 on Saturday 8/22📝

Saturday August 22nd join the ARCC at Cooking Together. Welcoming Chef Yunique who specializes in Jamaican and vegan dishes, come together to make a healthy meal and learn some new cooking skills!

All ingrediants and supplies will be provided. Participants will learn how to make the meal and be provided with ingrediants to take home and make it again! Chef Yunique will be teaching the class how to make a one pot summer vegtable Ital 🥬

VIGIL FOR PEOPLE IMPACTED BY STATE VIOLENCE THIS WEDNESDAY.

Lives are being taken by police, Ice agents, corrupt prison systems and more. We need to be in the street, speak up and show up for these folks, it’s already too late.

Show up to Academy Green Park on Wednesday 8/12 at 6pm with Wednesday Walk for Black Lives to hear from impacted community members on how we are moving forward ‼️
