In Loving Memory of Raymond E. Eblen

It is with heavy hearts that the East Roane County Volunteer Fire Department announces the passing of Raymond E. Eblen on July 21, 2026.

Raymond was not only the beloved husband of Ms. Faye, but also the last surviving founder and a lifetime member of the East Roane County Volunteer Fire Department, established in 1983.

Through his dedication, courage, and vision, Raymond helped build the foundation of the department we know today. Alongside his beloved wife, Ms. Faye, he devoted more than four decades to serving our community.

Together, they answered countless calls for help, supported their neighbors in times of need, and inspired generations of volunteers to carry on the tradition of selfless service.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Eblen family, their friends, and everyone who had the privilege of serving alongside Raymond. We are forever grateful for his years of sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to our department and community.

Thank you, Raymond, for your lifetime of service. Your legacy will never be forgotten, and your memory will forever remain in our hearts.
