Meals on Wheels Wyoming Valley

Meals on Wheels Wyoming Valley Meals on Wheels of Wyoming Valley is a non-profit organization that provides nutritious, home-delivered, low-cost meals to senior citizens.

Currently, more than 100 individuals, regardless of their age or income status, receive a home-delivered lunch each day, Monday through Friday. A registered dietitian directs the program, and supervises the preparation of the meals each day. Diabetic diets are also available. As a means of respite for a caregiver, our meals can be delivered to an individual for a temporary period of time. The home

delivery includes a hot meal which features an entrée, starch and vegetable as the main meal of the day, as well as a cold boxed lunch consisting of a sandwich, bread and butter, dessert and a snack. The cost is only $6.00 per day. Meals are billed on a monthly basis. Delivery volunteers collect payment the first Monday of the month. Alternate arrangements can be made with family members who often pay for this service. Meals on Wheels of Wyoming Valley currently serves clients in the communities listed below. If there is adequate interest and volunteers to staff them, new routes can be created. Ashley

Thank you, Diamonds in the Rough! 💎🌟

Members of the women’s golf league, Diamonds in the Rough, recently held a charity golf tournament where they raised $2000 for Meals on Wheels of Wyoming Valley. Your support allows us to continue delivering meals and friendly smiles to individuals in our community!

We once again would like to say thank you to our amazing volunteers! 💙 Meals on Wheels of Wyoming Valley couldn’t continue to deliver meals and smiles without your support. We recently celebrated all of our wonderful volunteers at our Volunteer Luncheon in Kingston.

At the luncheon, we honored Meryl and Windsor Davis for their outstanding dedication to Meals on Wheels of Wyoming Valley. Meryl volunteered with Meals on Wheels of Wyoming Valley for 56 years, and Windsor has volunteered for 25 years.

At the luncheon, State Rep. Eddie Day Pashinski presented Windsor and Meryl with a citation from the State House of Representatives. Please join us in congratulating them on this honor! 🎉

We deliver over 21,000 meals annually to individuals in the Wyoming Valley. We couldn't do it without the support of our generous donors and our dedicated volunteers. Thank you for all you do!
