LOOKING FOR OWNERS:

There have been 4 to 5 white goats loose on Pembroke street near the high school as of 6:30 this morning. They have ear tags, one of which says “Puzzle”. If you are or know the owner of these goats, they are being contained at 245 Pembroke St. Thank you.

Hello, our names are Socks & W***y and we are a bonded pair. Although not blood brothers, we came from the same household and grew up together. We're both 6 years old and love each other and anyone who enters the room. We like to twirl around your legs and beg for pets. We're big boys, but that just means there's more to love! Socks has very striking eyes with beautiful white markings and 2 thumbs! W***y is a brown tabby with a sleek body and graceful stance. We don't mind other cats, and we hiss at dogs but if they're respectful dogs, it might be okay. Kids are just too grabby for us. We'd love to find a home together where we can continue our bromance. HOME TO HOME ADOPTION:

THIS DOG IS NOT AT THE SHELTER.

Bogey is looking for a new home. He has been living with a family that has another dog, unfortunately, Bogey has become aggressive with the other dog. Owners have tried to resolve the issues unsuccessfully and have had to make the tough decision to give him up. His is great with kids, and people, up to date with all vaccines, neutered and microchipped. He is approx.. 2 ½ y/o and is a mixed breed. He loves the water as you can see by the photos/video. Oral Rabies Vaccine Distribution will be starting in the coming weeks. The USDA drops the packets from helicopters over certain areas to help manage rabies outbreaks in wild animal populations. Do not touch these packets with your bare hands and throw them into the woods if you can safely do so. Estimated start dates are Sept 9th-11th.

Re-introducing Rocky. Rocky is a neutered male Shih tzu mix and little over a year old. Rocky was adopted from us about a month ago but due to some newly found separation anxiety and destructive behavior, it became too much for the family and he had to come back. We can't understand where these behaviors came from as he never displayed them at the shelter, but we are determined to find Rocky a good home. We believe Rocky would do best with a dog companion. As much as he loves his people, when they need to leave the house, he needs someone to play with so Rocky must go to a home with another small dog. He will likely get along with cats as well. Rocky is up to date on all his vaccines, neutered, and microchipped. If you're looking for a second snuggle buddy, Rocky might be your man! Positive cases of EEE have been found in Kingston mosquitoes. Protect yourself, pets, and especially horses by draining standing water, using bug spray, wearing long sleeves and pants, and keeping horses stalled at night to lower their exposure.

Black female cat found at Continental Ct in Indian Pond Estates last night. Brought to the shelter this morning and scanned for a chip. Unfortunately nothing found and no collar.
