Cherokee Middle School Football practice canceled tonight, Thursday, June 18th due to inclement weather!! Please remember dead period begins this weekend until July 5th. Enjoy your break but keep working on conditioning!!

Reminder that DEAD PERIOD for ALL SPORTS begins following this weekend. This means no coaching, observing, or contact between coach and players in sport involved. There is no practice, no open facilities, and no weight training/conditioning.

We were excited today to make a presentation to several of our schools that had zero reports of unsportsmanlike conduct for 2025-26 school year : This award is named after Coach Richard Pickell who was the epitome of sportsmanship and always represented his school and community so well. The schools are Cherokee Middle , Harriman Middle, Rockwood Middle, Oliver Springs, Midway Middle, Midway High, Roane County High. We also appreciate our community members who donate to this award. Those contributions came from :
Enrichment Federal Credit Union , represented by Greg Samples.
The Roane Alliance, represented by Justin Snow.
Griffin Insurance, represented by Johnny Griffin .
First Baptist Church of Kingston , represented by Travis Harmon.
Scotty D***s of State Farm Insurance was also a donor but could not be present today.

We are so proud of the dedication, teamwork, and positive attitudes our squad displayed throughout the week. They learned new skills, built stronger bonds, and gained valuable experiences that will help make the 2026–2027 season one to remember!

Way to go, Cherokee Cheer! We can’t wait to see these talented athletes showcase everything they’ve learned this season. 💙📣🐝
