⚾️🏆 Congratulations, Coach Bruce Robinette! 🏆⚾️

Roane County Schools is proud to celebrate Coach Bruce Robinette, who was inducted into the East Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame during tonight’s Knoxville Smokies game at Covenant Health Park.

A Roane County High School graduate, Coach Robinette returned to his alma mater and dedicated more than 30 years to the Yellow Jackets baseball program. Serving as head coach from 1996–2021, he compiled 433 career victories, guided Kingston to multiple TSSAA State Tournament appearances, and helped countless student-athletes earn opportunities to continue their baseball careers at the collegiate level.

In 2022, Coach Robinette was named Roane County High School’s Athletic Director, continuing his commitment to student-athletes and the Kingston community.

Coach Robinette’s legacy extends far beyond wins and championships. Through his leadership, mentorship, and dedication to students, he has made a lasting impact on generations of Roane County athletes.

We would like to welcome Makenzie Walker to RCHS. She will be teaching English.

“I graduated this spring from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with a focus on English, though I am originally from Claiborne County, TN. From the moment I could pick up a book, I always had one in my hand. Reading and literacy are deep interests of mine, and education is my passion! All the positive and kind interactions I have had with the community in Roane County thus far makes me all the more excited to kickstart my career at RCHS. Go Yellow Jackets!”

🇺🇸 Cam and Turner are Nationals Bound! 🇺🇸

Help us congratulate these two young men who have earned the opportunity to compete against the nation's best on 𝗞𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗰𝗸𝘆 𝗟𝗮𝗸𝗲 out of Paris Landing, Tennessee!

What an incredible accomplishment for these anglers, boat captains, their families, and our entire program!

Their hard work, perseverance, and commitment have earned them a spot among the nation's best, and we couldn't be more proud.

As they prepare to compete against top anglers from across the country, we ask our community to join us in cheering them on and wishing them safe travels and success on the water.

We would like to welcome Walker Malone to RCHS. He will be teaching Special Education.

“I attended Cleveland State Community College on a baseball scholarship before transferring to the University of Tennessee at Knoxville to complete my degree in special education. After graduating, I returned to my alma mater, Meigs County High School, where I have spent the past six years as a special education teacher. During that time, I have also served three seasons as an assistant baseball coach and three seasons as the head baseball coach. I married my beautiful wife, Abby, in 2024. I enjoy serving the Lord, playing golf and hanging out with friends and family. Go Jackets!”

☀️🍎 Free Summer Meals for Kids! 🍎☀️

School may be out in a few weeks, but healthy meals are still in! Our School Nutrition Program is proud to offer FREE meals for children 18 years and younger again this summer.

All children 18 and under are welcome! This year we are asking parents to complete an interest form that will assist us in planning and verifying program details.
