The mission of the Roane County Anti-Drug Coalition is to promote community involvement; to educate and raise awareness of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs issues;and to strengthen community partnerships and prevention strategies in Roane County. This project is funded under a grant contract with the State of Tennessee, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.

We had a busy but wonderful day yesterday! 💙

We started at Roane State’s Welcome Back Students event and then headed over to Harriman High School’s Open House. We love having the opportunity to pour into our local schools, connect with students and families, and share resources that may be helpful to those in our community.

✨All this week we met with our Positive Peer Pressure (P3) Clubs at each middle school; and during each introduction session, we had students complete “A Letter To My Future Self” that included their current hobbies, a surprising fact about school, dreams or goals for their school year, their reason why they choose to pursue P3 Club, and an advice section to themselves to end the letter.✨

✨All letters were sealed and signed by the student to ensure only their eyes would see what they’ve written, and then sealed letters were collected to be held at our office, and will be returned to each student in May 2027! We have 116 letters and we can’t wait to see students open these back up in nine months to see how much they’ve grown and excelled👏❤️✨
