KPD Makes Arrest in V**e Store Shooting

Subject: Kanye Delvin Tisdale, 21, of Kingstree, South Carolina, was arrested and charged by the Kingstree Police Department (KPD) with Attempted Murder (S.C. 16-03-0029) and Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime (S.C. 16-23-0490(A).

Narrative: On December 6, 2025, the KPD responded to a report of a shooting at Smokers Town V**e Store, located at 1305 N Longstreet Street in Kingstree. The investigation revealed that the suspect, Kanye Tisdale, fired multiple shots at the victim, hitting him several times. The victim returned fire but did not injure Tisdale. The victim was subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment.

On December 6, 2025, Tisdale surrendered himself to KPD and was transported to Williamsburg County Detention Center (WCDC) on his respective charges. The investigation into the incident remains active.

The Kingstree Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that occurred today at a v**e store on Longstreet Street within the town limits of Kingstree, involving two individuals. One subject sustained a gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital; their condition is currently unknown.

The Kingstree Police Department, in coordination with the Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office, have identified and located the second individual. This remains an active investigation. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.

The Williamsburg County Emergency Management will have a warming center open tonight November 28, 2025, starting at 7pm until 7am Saturday morning. The forecast is showing that the temps will be low around 25.

If you plan to come to the warming center, please bring any personal items you may need along with any medicine. We will have staff on site during this time.

On November 16, 2025, officers with the Kingstree Police Department responded to Food Lion, located at 1319 N. Longstreet Street within the town limits of Kingstree, in reference to a reported shooting inside the store.

While processing the scene, officers were subsequently dispatched to Black River Medical Center, located at 3555 N. Williamsburg County Highway in the Cades area of Williamsburg County, regarding individuals who had arrived with gunshot wounds. Upon arrival, officers confirmed that the injuries sustained by the victims were directly related to the incident that occurred at Food Lion.

The preliminary investigation indicates that the victim was shopping inside the store when the suspect entered in an effort to locate the individual. The suspect discharged a firearm at the victim, who then returned fire. This investigation remains active and ongoing.

Anyone with information concerning this incident is urged to contact Chief Marlow at 843-401-8676, Assistant Chief Lee at 843-372-6086, the Kingstree Police Department Tip Line at 843-355-8199, or Crime Stoppers at 888-274-6372. Callers may remain anonymous.

At this time, the incident has been determined to be isolated and involved a specifically intended target. There is no indication of any continued threat to the public, and community members should feel safe returning to the store as normal operations resume.
