Happy 2nd Birthday to the USS KINGSVILLE LCS 36.
She was “brought to life” two years ago at her Commissioning Ceremony on 24August 2024.

Mayor Fugate, other members of the , and many community residents sang “Happy Birthday” and recognized the milestone Saturday night at the Memorial .
The video of the guests singing “Happy Birthday” is attached.

On 22Aug2026 the proudly hosted the Memorial at Texas A&M University-Kingsville.
Dick Messbarger (🌹R.I.P🌹), founder of the banquet, was posthumously presented the Navy League of the United States .
Dick’s three daughters (Kim, Courtney, and Taryn) were present at the banquet to receive the Citation as well as a plaque designed to hang at City Hall in memorial to Dick (pending City Commission approval).
