Downtown Kinston Revitalization DKR has brought a new vibe and new life to downtown. Downtown living is growing, our nighttime vibe is diverse, and more is coming soon.

DKR is a an affiliate Main Street program with Main Street America. Pride of Kinston is a nonprofit organization founded in 1984 with a mission of leading, promoting and celebrating the revitalization of Kinston's downtown.

Progress is coming to Downtown Kinston and so is a plan to keep everyone informed. 🚧✨

DKR will host informational meetings for merchants and stakeholders once project details are finalized, while a new communication campaign will help the community stay connected throughout construction. Stay tuned for more!

This was a collaboration of non-profits making our town more attractive and safer; Downtown Kinston Revitalization and the Smart Kinston Foundation Artists program. Bring your children for the dragon story reading afterwards in the park!
