Congratulations Ms. Morris! Welcome Back Home!💚💛
Lenoir County Public Schools is excited to announce two more leadership appointments for the 2026-27 school year!
Congratulations to Keiara Morris, who has been named the next principal of Rochelle Middle School. Morris currently serves as assistant principal at North Lenoir High School and brings years of experience and a deep commitment to LCPS to her new role. She began her career in Lenoir County Public Schools, previously serving at Rochelle Middle School and Northeast Elementary before gaining additional administrative experience in another district. She later returned to LCPS, where she has helped lead North Lenoir High School with distinction. Now, she returns to Rochelle to lead the Jr. Vikings, bringing with her a passion for student success and a familiarity with the school community.
Congratulations also to Nicolette Morgan, who has been named assistant principal at North Lenoir High School. Morgan has served Lenoir County Public Schools since 2007 and currently serves as curriculum specialist at Northwest Elementary School. During her career, she has also served at Contentnea-Savannah K-8, where she built a reputation as an outstanding instructional leader. At Northwest, she has played a key role in the school's tremendous academic growth, supporting teachers, strengthening curriculum, and helping students excel, particularly in mathematics. Her dedication to excellence and collaborative leadership make her a perfect fit for the leadership team at North Lenoir.
As we celebrate these new appointments, we also want to express our sincere gratitude to Terry Wooten for her remarkable leadership at Rochelle Middle School. During her tenure, Rochelle reached new heights, finishing among the top five percent of middle schools in North Carolina while excelling across nearly every measure of student performance. We wish her nothing but the best in her next chapter.
Please join us in congratulating Ms. Morris and Ms. Morgan on their new leadership roles. We can't wait to see all they accomplish in the year ahead!
