🎶 Congratulations to our very own Sarah P! 🎶

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Sarah on her nomination to the Colorado Country Music Hall of Fame! As one of our local favorites, Sarah has shared her amazing talent with our community time and time again, and it is wonderful to see her recognized for her contributions to Colorado's country music scene.

Thinking About Your Independence Day Plans? The Fireworks Hotline Is Your Safety Resource.

Independence Day is one of the most celebrated Holidays in our community. While the professional fireworks shows are still expected to occur nearby, an individual’s use of fireworks that explode or leave the ground are always illegal.

What can I do if I witness illegal fireworks?
• If you see illegal fireworks, call the Fireworks Hotline 303-814-7118. The Hotline will be staffed and available to receive fireworks-related complaints from July 3 through July 5, between 6 p.m. and midnight each evening.
• Outside of these dates and hours, report fireworks-related concerns through Douglas Regional 9-1-1's non-emergency line at 303-660-7500.
• Do not call 9-1-1 unless there is an emergency.

Additional Safety Tips:
• Be extra careful with legal sparklers and small fireworks — they can still cause fires.
• Avoid using legal fireworks near grass, dry vegetation, or in windy conditions.

🎨✨ Kiowa's very first mural was completed yesterday, and what a beautiful addition it is to our community!

But we're not done yet...

TODAY, YOU get to help paint the next one!

Join us at Norman Park (201 Navajo Street) starting at 1:00 PM as Main Street continues its mission of creating community through art. Local artist Deb Nahm and her talented crew will lead a Community Paint-by-Number Mural Project featuring four different panels that will eventually be displayed throughout Kiowa.

Today's mural, Birds of the Prairie, celebrates the beauty and wildlife of the Eastern Colorado plains, and we want YOUR brushstrokes to help bring it to life. No experience needed—just come ready to have fun and be creative!

☀️ It's going to be a beautiful day to be outside with friends and neighbors.

Then at 4:00 PM, we shift gears! The beverage tent goes up, the food trucks roll in, and The Wrecklunds set up under their tent to bring us an evening of foot-stomping music and good times.

And the best part? The painting continues throughout the festivities!

Come paint, grab some great food, enjoy live music, and help create something special for Kiowa. We can't wait to see you there! 🎶🎨❤️
