🐾 Happy Pupdate! 🐾

On January 1st, the Bowman family came across Bonnie’s heartbreaking cruelty story and knew they had to step in to help. Even though they live all the way in Indiana, that didn’t stop them. They stayed in touch with the shelter and followed Bonnie’s journey every step of the way.

The moment Bonnie officially became part of the shelter, the Bowmans didn’t hesitate—they set out on an 18-hour trip to come rescue her. ❤️

We’re beyond thrilled to share that Bonnie will now spend the rest of her life in a safe, loving home. 🏡🐶

A huge thank you to the Bowmans for their compassion and commitment to giving Bonnie the life she deserves!

Microchipping is the best way to find your pet if they get lost, or stolen.

Your donations mean the world to our shelter pets and this is a look at how they’re being used. We couldn’t thank you enough for the blankets and toys that helped us ride out the ice storm. It gives our amazing staff a lot to work with.

A reminder the Animal Care Facility will be closed to the public tomorrow, but essential staff will continue to make sure our animals are as comfortable as possible during this arctic front. A major kudos to our team for pouring in love and support to our shelter animals!

This little guy was found in US HWY 281 and Loop 1604. He was picked up right before the worst of the arctic cold front and will have a warm place to stay tonight.
Thank you to our Animal Care team who go above and beyond for Bexar County animals.

Lets make 2026 Declan's year to shine. Poor guy came in as a walking skeleton with a chemical over his back. As you see now, he has turned it around full circle. This loving 3 yr old Am staff mix have a full life of love ahead of him. He is Fixed, microchipped and unfortunately Heartworm Positive. Declan is ready to make your couch, his! Please share away, he is available for adoption, rescue and doggy cuddles!
