📬 Our Cool Cat Mail has officially begun!

Today we received our very first letter to the Cool Cat, and we couldn't be more excited! We can't wait to see all the letters our students send throughout the summer as part of their Cool Cat's Summer Road Trip Challenge Board. Keep an eye on your mailbox—you never know when you might get a special reply from the Cool Cat! 🐾

We know it's summer but we also know that many of our Cool Cats are working towards that Ice Cream Sundae party when school starts in August!

Here's a call to all Cool Cat families: comment below with pictures of your Cool Cats working on their summer skills packets so we can highlight the work they're doing to keep those skills fresh during the summer months!

As a friendly reminder, all students in grades K - 2 were given skills packets the week before school ended that they could work on this summer to help reinforce the many valuable skills they learned this past school year.

We encourage you to have your Cool Cats do some activities each week wherever you are in the world. It doesn't have to be too time intensive. Activities were designed to be quick and repeated many times over the course of the summer. Cool Cat parents and guardians sign off that their Cool Cat has completed their summer skills practice, and that signed paper becomes the ticket to attend our incentive ice cream sundae party! (The added challenge board can even earn you a color-changing spoon!)

Make it fun and let's help our Cool Cats keep those skills fresh while also working towards that Ice Cream Sundae party when school starts again!

Last week, the Board of Education honored Tom Bramlish for his years of dedication and service as he prepares for retirement.

Tom has been so much more than a paraprofessional at KES. He has been a familiar face, a steady support, and someone our students naturally gravitate toward every day. His kindness, patience, and ability to build meaningful relationships with students have made a lasting impact on our school community.

Thank you, Tom, for everything you have poured into KES over the years. Your impact will not be forgotten, and this recognition was so well deserved. Congratulations on your retirement! 🎉🐾

These Cool Cats finished the year showing responsibility, kindness, hard work, and what it means to be a positive leader at Kirkersville Elementary. We are so proud of the way they ended the school year strong! 💛

Rain held off just long enough for our 3rd grade students’ clap out! ☀️👏

Today we celebrated our 3rd graders as they wrapped up their time at Kirkersville Elementary and prepared for their next adventure. We are so proud of all they’ve accomplished and cannot wait to see all the amazing things they do in the future. Once a Cool Cat, always a Cool Cat! 💙🐾
