Cool Cats in Mrs. Prusz's class recently finished up a unit on descriptive writing! 📝

Part of their unit involved writing a "Guess Who" paragraph describing a spooky character with only the senses. 👀👂👃✋

Enjoy some scenes from their Publish Party where everyone shared their writing and classmates tried to guess each other's creatures! 👻

Congratulations to our Golden Ticket winners for the week!

Kirkersville Cool Cats earn Golden Tickets throughout the building each week when they are caught making positive choices by staff. At the end of the week, two names are drawn from all of the Golden Tickets earned in each class and those students get prizes from the Cool Cat prize cart!

Keep up the great work, Cool Cats! Thank you for making positive choices and being great leaders and examples at Kirkersville Elementary!

Our Kindergarten Cool Cats visited Van Buren Acres yesterday for some fall fun on the farm! 🍂

Students got a chance to pick some pumpkins 🎃, bounce on the giant pillow, go down the slides, play in the corn pit, learn about a variety of animals, and enjoy many more fun activities around the farm! 🚜

We are so grateful for the opportunities provided to our Cool Cats by partner organizations like Van Buren Acres, as well as the many volunteers and staff that work hard to plan fun and interactive trips for our students!

Thank you to all that made this trip such a wonderful and memorable experience for our school year! ⚫💛

🎃We had a spooktacular time at Trunk or Treat! 🍬🧡 We loved seeing so many cool cats 🐱😎 and all the amazing costumes! Thanks to everyone who came out and made it such a fun time! 🖤🎃

A BIG THANK YOU to our Kirkersville SWL Elementary PTO for hosting our annual Carnival yesterday!

Families enjoyed an afternoon of carnival games, inflatables, a neon dance party, food, and a host of great raffle prizes! We greatly appreciate the hard work and planning that goes into this event each year!

Thank you to all who came out to participate and to all of the volunteers that make this event a memorable experience for everyone!

Each week during lunch times, Kirkersville staff watch for and identify students who are doing a great job following cafeteria and lunch expectations! On Monday mornings, randomly drawn winners from every class are sent invitations to the Cool Cat VIP Lunch Table for the week!

VIP Lunch Table privileges include: first in line to get their lunch if they're buying, a seat at the decorated VIP Lunch Table all week, and first to exit the cafeteria to recess or class. 💪
