A huge thank you to these amazing Pantry Packs volunteers, pictured here with our KaMS volunteer driver. They have supported our students all school year by packing and organizing snacks provided by the Lake Washington Schools Foundation. We are so grateful for you!

The fourth Friday of each month is WSPTA Family Special Education, where relationship and curiosity meet disability.

Be kind to your mind. May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Let’s help normalize mental health for the children in our care. According to Mental Health First Aid (http://mhfa.org/), 1 in 5 youth experience a mental health disorder. Two common mental health disorders are: anxiety and major depressive. One of the KEY factors in helping a young person overcome a mental health challenge is having a caring, consistent adult in their life.

Find out more, including the importance of early support in recognizing signs in children and youth, and access a FREE TOOLKIT at SAMHSA: https://www.samhsa.gov/about/digital-toolkits/mental-health-awareness-month
