🏀 Registration is NOW OPEN for the 2026–2027 Youth Basketball League! 🏀

The City of Kirkland is excited to welcome players back to the court for another fun season! Whether your child is just getting started or returning for another season, our league offers a positive, inclusive environment focused on teamwork, sportsmanship, and basketball fundamentals.

📣 League Details
🏀 Grades 3–6 | Girls & Boys Leagues
📅 Season: November–March
🏋️ Practices begin the week of November 30
🏆 Games begin January 9 (no game February 13)
🏫 Teams formed by grade, gender league preference, and nearest LWSD elementary school
🤝 Buddy & coach requests accepted, but not guaranteed
💰 $168 for Kirkland residents | $202 for non-residents

Help restore natural areas, lead volunteer projects, and share your love of green spaces, right here in Kirkland. Our next Green Kirkland Steward Orientation starts this September!

Orientation is free, open to all, and consists of three sessions:
1️⃣ Program Overview - Wed, Sept 23 online via Zoom
2️⃣ Field Training - Sat, Sept 26 in person in a Kirkland Park
3️⃣ Site Management - Wed, Sept 30 online via Zoom

The METRO team will be on-site at the Peter Kirk Community Center to assist with Regional reduced Fare Permits, Adult ORCA cards, replacing lost or damaged cards, adding fare value to existing ORCA cards, to answer questions and more.

Get ready for your dog to make a splash! The City of Kirkland’s sixth annual See Spot Splash returns Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026, bringing a day of swimming, zoomies, and dog-friendly fun to Peter Kirk Community Pool and Lee Johnson Field!

Get ready for your dog to make a splash! The City of Kirkland’s sixth annual See Spot Splash returns Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026, bringing a day of swimming, zoomies, and dog-friendly fun to Peter Kirk Community Pool and Lee Johnson Field.

“Our parks and public spaces are here for the whole community, and once a year, that includes handing over the pool to the dogs,” said Councilmember John Tymczyszyn. “See Spot Splash has become a fun Kirkland tradition, and we’re excited to welcome dogs and their people back before we close the pool for the winter.”
