Welcome to the start of Fall Semester!

We want to inform you that there will be law enforcement training in the unoccupied (no classes) section of the T-Building this week. Please be aware that during the training, there may be visible law enforcement activity on campus, including the presence of officers, vehicles, and equipment. Rest assured, this is only a training exercise, and there is no cause for concern.

We have some exciting news this semester! The Lakeland Community College Police Department has partnered with the Criminal Justice program to offer an innovative internship class! This course helps students explore criminal justice careers and prepare for the hiring process in the criminal justice field. Students will have the opportunity to work closely with seasoned officers and gain insight into various aspects of police work, including investigations, community outreach, crime prevention, and public safety operations. Interns will assist with administrative tasks, participate in ride-alongs, and observe day-to-day law enforcement activities. Our goal is to engage and educate students while helping them gain a deeper understanding of the work we do to protect and serve the college community. This is another way for us to work closely with our students and the Criminal Justice program here at Lakeland! Welcome all!

All classes, activities, clinicals, and events that are scheduled for 10am or later will be in session unless notified otherwise. This includes in-person, online/virtual and hybrid classes, clinicals, events, meetings and college offices.

This includes the Lakeland main campus in Kirtland and the Holden University Center. Holden University Center partnership students should check with their faculty for official communication related to remote delivery, delay or cancellation.

Should there be future main campus closings or delays, additional alert(s) will be sent out.
