June is PTSD Awareness Month ๐
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can affect anyone who has experienced or witnessed a traumatic event. While PTSD is often associated with military service, it can also impact survivors of accidents, abuse, violence, natural disasters, loss, and other life-changing experiences.
Common signs may include:
โข Flashbacks or intrusive memories
โข Anxiety or feeling constantly on edge
โข Difficulty sleeping
โข Avoidance of certain places, people, or situations
โข Changes in mood or concentration
The good news is that PTSD is treatable, and recovery is possible. Seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness.
At Park Place Behavioral Health Care, we are here to provide compassionate care, support, and resources for individuals and families on their healing journey.
You do not have to face it alone.
