The CFX Board heard from more than 40 community members on the Concept Studies at the March 8 meeting. The majority of those providing public comment spoke about either the potential residential impacts or the environmental impacts of various alternatives proposed for the Osceola Parkway Extension. The Board approved moving forward with a PD&E Study for the Osceola Parkway Extension and the Poinciana Parkway Extension / I-4 Connector. The PD&E Studies will determine a recommend alignment.

A standing-room-only crowd attends the meeting where CFX Board members review and vote on which of the four Concept, Feasibility and Mobility Study corridors would move forward. The Board voted to next conduct Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Studies on the Poinciana Parkway Extension / I-4 Connector and the Osceola Parkway Extension. The PD&E Studies will determine a recommend alignment. The Board accepted the findings of the Southport Connector and Northeast Connector Expressway, and said those corridors would be revisited as community conditions changed in the future.

The CFX Board on March 8 at 9 a.m. will review all of the concept study corridors to determine which ones move forward for further review. The meeting will be at the CFX Administration Building, 4974 ORL Tower Road, Orlando, 32807. Public comment will be welcomed during the meeting.

Now that the CFX Concept Study public workshops are done, the hundreds of public comments will be provided to the CFX Board for consideration. The CFX Board meets on March 8 at 9 a.m. to get updates on the four study corridors and public comment, and to decide which corridors move forward for further consideration. CFX meetings are at 4974 ORL Tower Road, Orlando, near Andes Avenue and SR 408.

More than 850 people attended the three public workshops that finished up this week for the CFX Concept, Feasibility and Mobility Studies. Attendees submitted their concerns about residential, environmental and other impacts on more than 350 comment forms. Hundreds of other folks also have been calling and emailing their input on the studies.

About 430 people attended the CFX Concept, Feasibility and Mobility Study public meeting on Feb. 15 at Lake Nona Middle School. Attendees included Orange and Osceola County officials, as well as HOA groups and environmental advocates. The last public meeting open house on the concept studies is Feb. 21 from 5:30 p.m. -7:30 p.m. at the Association of Poinciana Villages Community Center, 445 Marigold Avenue, Poinciana.

Three hundred interested citizens attended Tuesday night's meeting to learn more about the CFX Concept, Feasibility & Mobility Studies.Seventy-seven people submitted comment forms to share their thoughts with the study team. The next meeting will be held Thursday, Feb. 15 at the Lake Nona Middle School Cafeteria, 13700 Narcoossee Road in Orlando.
