We are excited to share a new and convenient way for SDOC employees to participate in the Medi-Weightloss Program!

As Medi Weightloss continues to enhance access to care, starting August 10th, they will be implementing virtual follow-up visits for patients.

Dr. Shanoff has been very supportive of this initiative, recognizing the value it can bring to employees who may find traveling to one of our clinic locations challenging.

How It Works - starting 8/10/2026:
Initial Visit (In-Person): Patients will come to the Medi-Weightloss clinic of their choice for a comprehensive first appointment, including a complete evaluation, vital signs, and medical workup.

Three Weeks of Virtual Care: Patients will leave their initial visit with a prescription covering the next three weeks and will meet with the Medi-Weightloss team through their secure telehealth platform for ongoing support and follow-up.

Monthly In-Person Check-Ins: After the initial three-week period, patients will return to the clinic once a month for weight checks, vital signs monitoring, and medication refills for the following month.

We understand that busy schedules and travel distance can sometimes make it difficult to take advantage of health and wellness benefits. By combining in-person care with virtual visits, Medi-Weight loss is making their program more accessible, flexible, and convenient for SDOC employees while maintaining the high level of support and clinical oversight their patients receive.

They believe this new option will help more employees take advantage of the benefits of the program and stay on track toward achieving their health goals.

If you would like additional information about the program or the upcoming virtual visit option, please feel free to contact Medi-Weightloss. You can find a location near you listed on the flyer below.
