💜🧡📮I finally got to our Favorite Mailbox to change out Wesley's anchor⚓️Wesley's momma sent me a new one💜
I gotta Thank some young men visiting from NJ, who helped me🧡💜The screwdriver I had brought had a crappy handle and I couldn't get the screw out🤦‍♀️These men also tried their best but we all learned a valuable lesson...if the screwdriver handle is loose, the screwdriver can't screw🤦‍♀️🤣🤣So, we had to break off the old anchor😭But no worries, just like all of Wesley's previous anchors, they are safely displayed at my home🧡💜

🧡💜Eight years ago today, Wesley gained his angel wings and went to heaven. Every year is a struggle and we miss him immensely. He would currently be 12 and in 6th grade. It is amazing to think that our sweet little boy would almost be a teenager. There’s so many milestones that we have missed out on with him. His time on earth was short, but we packed so much into those 4.5 years. He was so loved and he loved all those in his life.

Sweet message from Wesley's Way Foundation to honor him on this day 🧡💜

😇🧡💜📮8 years ago today, Wesley was taken by Mother Ocean💔But today, as we always do, we laid flowers at Wesley's Mailbox🧡💜The flowers will be there for 5 days...representing the 5 days Wesley was missing before Glen found his sweet body on the beach in Corolla😥💔I know I can speak for the Belisle Family when I say we are So Grateful to Glen for bringing Wesley back to his family😇Today, I had the Honor of giving Glen the 3rd Mailbox, to Keep in his loving hands📮🧡💜And Wesley sent us 3 pelicans this year... we've decided they were in honor of his little brother💙💙

🧡💜📮It was a beautiful, albeit breezy, day to change out Wesley's Mailbox📮🌞The youngest Keeper, our 19 y/o son Eric, helped me😍
We'll be gathering at the Mailbox on Saturday at 9am, to lay flowers for Wesley's Angel Day😇Anyone is welcome to join us!

❤️Today, I'm just Deb, spreading the word for one of my dearest friends❤️Y'all have prayed for her before when she was waiting for a third double lung transplant❤️ Tricia Kirschner Lawrenson is now needing a living kidney donor!! I am, personally, in the process of seeing if I'm a match🙏Please help me spread the word of her need!!
I try VERY hard to not use this platform for anything but Wesley, but I know his parents would totally understand🧡💜

📮💜🧡For those of you new to our page, I thought I'd give a little history of our favorite Mailbox💜🧡📮On April 25, 2018, Wesley was ripped from his momma's hand by a rogue wave while walking on the beach at the Lillian St access on the Outer Banks😥😇His sweet body was found 5 days later.
🧡💜📮My family needed to do something so we put up Little Red Mailbox #12, with the approval of the Town of Kitty Hawk📮💜🧡As I got to know Wesley's mom, I got permission to add Wesley's Mailbox to the title🧡💜📮
Because the Mailbox has constant abuse from salt air, we have had to replace the Mailbox📮
On May 24, 2018, we dedicated LRMB🧡💜It lasted until we replaced it on November 26, 2019💜🧡The first Mailbox is in the loving hands of Wesley's parents💜🧡The second Mailbox survived until July 9, 2023. Wesley's parents asked me, Proud Keeper of Wesley's Mailbox, to keep the second Mailbox and I am honored to have it at my home in Kill Devil Hills💜🧡I am so excited to give the 3 Mailbox to someone very special💜🧡I'll share who when we install the new one🎉📮💜🧡

❄️💜🧡📮Today is a prep day on the Outer Banks, as we're expecting possible blizzard conditions over the weekend❄️🌬
📮Since our favorite Mailbox is waiting for an upgrade, I went there this morning and put the journal in a ziploc bag and put the hanging door inside the Mailbox (we're expecting crazy winds so I didn't want to lose it)📮🧡💜
If your, safely, out and about during or after the snow, I'd love a picture of our favorite Mailbox snow covered❄️📮

📮💜🧡🌞It was a beautiful to get to our favorite Mailbox and take down Wesley's Christmas tree🎄Its also time for a new Mailbox📮The door is rusted off at the hinges so it's just sitting on the Mailbox. I've already contacted my artist who will paint us a new Mailbox ASAP📮💜🧡

🎄💜🧡📮Got to our favorite Mailbox today with the oldest Keeper, our son David💪💜🧡We couldn't find Wesley's original Christmas tree from years past (Wesley's mom thinks Wesley hid it from us😇), so we're using this one from our own collection🎄💜🧡Curious to see how it holds up with the new layout of the Mailbox (no walls protecting the tree)🤔💜🧡
