We are excited to return to Klamath Falls in March where we will have over 600 local students attend our program.
We are looking for 100 volunteers to coach groups of 6-8 students through the simulation and 10 volunteers to assist with the set-up and tear-down of the program while the exhibit is in the Klamath Falls area in March. We are hoping you would like to volunteer again this school year. If this opportunity interests you, please read more and reply to this message with the information requested below.
Imagine you're a 35-year-old single parent earning $32,000 yearly as an Office Assistant, or perhaps you're a 42-year-old Regional Manager making $65,000 yearly.
How will you manage your money?
At JA Finance Park, students act as adults for a day and make personal financial decisions in a realistic setting. Whatever role they are assigned, students develop lifelong financial skills through the program's in-class and simulation experiences.
The simulation and volunteering will be located at Klamath Falls Fairgrounds
3531 S 6th St, Klamath Falls, OR 97603 in Exhibit Building #1.
Volunteers will arrive at 8:00 AM and finish at 2:00 PM. Volunteers will provide guidance to the students as they plan their budgets. Volunteers who offer to assist will participate in a 90-minute training to prepare for their work with the students. This training provides volunteers with the opportunity to understand the in-class program, as well as the on-site schedule and procedures. Volunteers do not need to be experts to guide students. Your life experiences managing your money help the students learn how to manage theirs. **If you’ve already participated in the training at a previous JA Finance Park you can plan on arriving 45 minutes before the students.**
If you can find the time to volunteer, please leave us message in the comments and someone will contact you.
