Ferguson Families, we know that consistent summer weather is drawing to a close, so we want to make sure that students come to school dressed appropriately for the weather.

There are very few times that we hold students inside from recess, so we want to make sure they come to school prepared for the weather.

1.) When there is rain in the forecast, students should have weather-appropriate items. These could be: rain coat, rain boots, extra socks, hat, gloves, and umbrella. šŸ’¦ā˜”ļø

2.) When we get snow, students still go outside for recess so having these items in preparation for the winter weather is good: coat, hat, gloves, snow pants, snow boots, and maybe an extra pair of socks. ā„ļøā˜ƒļø

Ferguson Families, we want you to know that you do NOT have to pay anything for your Class Dojo account. Class Dojo might try to sell you add-ons, but these are NOT required to get communications between you and your childā€™s teacher.

Please do NOT set up any payment to have Class Dojo. The license is covered by the district and is FREE to families.

We are in full swing of the first day of school. Itā€™s been a great morning!

Parents/Guardians, this is just a reminder to:
1.) Sign up for Class Dojo- the district has paid for this subscription so families are able to communicate their childā€™s teacher. This is free to families.
2.) Let your childā€™s teacher or the office know how your child goes home, and if there are ever any dismissal changes. For your childā€™s safety, we want to make sure we get them where they need to be.

Ferguson Families, if you haven't been down Homedale lately, construction is underway. There is congestion and flagging near Brixner. The construction workers do plan on running an abbreviated schedule to accommodate students arriving and departing school. Just take this into consideration as you may be sitting in lines dropping your students off at Ferguson or Brixner. Classes begin at 7:50am at Ferguson.

Ferguson Families, we have some important information for you for Monday August 31st. This is the First Day of School and we are so excited for a great school year!

ā€¢There is no supervision for students before 7:20am. If students donā€™t plan on eating breakfast, they will be allowed inside with their teacher at 7:45am. Students will line up in the back with their class.

ā€¢7:20am- cafeteria doors open for students who eat breakfast. When students finish eating, they will go outside and line up with their class and wait for their teacher to pick them up at 7:45am.

ā€¢ 7:45am- students go inside with their classroom teacher. Parents/guardians are allowed to walk with their child to class with the teacher. This will be the only day you get to do this.

ā€¢7:50am- class begins
Letā€™s start the year strong!

ā€¢All students grades 1-6 start Monday.

ā€¢Kindergarten has assigned phase-in days T-TH and all kindergarteners will be together on Friday. Kindergarteners will line up in the gym in the morning and wait for their teacher.

We wanted to take a moment to introduce the people making the Booster Club happen this year! We are excited for another year of supporting our students, teachers, and staff while creating fun opportunities for our school community!
