CASA for Children of Klamath County

CASA for Children of Klamath County We have always known that our Court Appointed Special Advocates make a difference. In many cases, we know that they ARE the difference.

CASA for Children of Klamath County is a non-profit evidence-based program that provides trained volunteer advocates for foster children who have been removed from their home due to abuse or neglect. A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) is a community volunteer who has received specialized training to advocate for a child’s needs in the child welfare and court systems. In addition to ensuring

the child's voice is heard in court, CASA collaborates with family, agencies, and schools ensuring child safety, child well-being and permanency for foster children. A volunteer’s encouragement can be the difference between a teen dropping out of school and being the first in her family ever to graduate. A volunteer’s patience and belief in a parent can be the difference between the parent giving up and reevaluating priorities. A volunteer’s diligence can be the difference between a child being shuffled from placement to placement and having a place to call “home”. Research shows that a child with a CASA spends less time in foster care, receives more services, and has more success in school.

🎉💙 Today was a wonderful day for CASA for Children of Klamath County! 💙🎉

We were honored to welcome 6 new CASA advocates as they were sworn in by Judge Janney today. One additional advocate from this training class was unable to attend and will be sworn in soon.

This was an incredible training class, and we are so excited to see these volunteers begin their journey advocating for children in foster care throughout Klamath County.

Each of these individuals has committed their time, compassion, and voice to ensuring children who have experienced abuse or neglect have someone standing beside them and speaking up for their best interests.

💙 If you want to Change a Child's Story, go to our website for information. Please join us in congratulating our newest CASA advocates!

Behind every graduate is a story.

A story of perseverance.
A story of growth.
A story of challenges overcome.

And often, a story about someone who showed up, believed in them, and never gave up.

💙 A parent.
💙 A teacher.
💙 A coach.
💙 A mentor.
💙 A foster parent.
💙 A CASA volunteer.

As graduation season begins, we celebrate the graduates and the caring adults who helped them along the way.

That's 89 children navigating court hearings, school changes, family transitions, and life's challenges without a dedicated volunteer focused solely on their best interests.

Every child deserves someone who will listen, show up, and make sure their voice is heard.

This Foster Care Month, we're working to change that.
