🎉 Congratulations to Diamond S Meat Co. (Klamath Falls) and Lake County Meat (Lakeview) for being awarded Oregon Department of Agriculture's new meat processing grant! 🎉

After a rigorous selection process, the State of Oregon has made a substantial investment in the meat processing sector. A total of 14 Oregon-based meat processing businesses have been awarded funding from the $8.6 million allocated by the Oregon Legislature and distributed by the Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA). This strategic investment is set to significantly enhance the meat processing capacity across the state, with particular focus on benefiting Oregon-raised livestock.

As part of the CEDS Districtwide Survey, we're asking residents how much they agree or disagree with different statements about their community. The first quarter has already been marked by some big events! We have officially welcomed 8 new members to our full board, updated our bylaws, as well as launched a districtwide community and economic development survey.

It finally Friday and time to start planning for your weekend. Remember the Lake County Examiner Expo is this weekend at the Fairgrounds. You can follow that up with Chamber After Hours on Monday night. The speaker will be SCOEDD talking about small business start up and expansion funding. Remember: Chamber After Hours is free to anyone in the community.
