Klamath & Lake Community Action Services Klamath & Lake Community Action Services is a non-profit organization providing supportive services in Klamath and Lake counties.

KLCAS works to serve those neighbors and strengthen homes through a variety of programs:

• Heating Assistance Program - keeping homes warm by encouraging regular utility payments and promoting energy awareness.

• Homelessness Prevention Program - creating home stability by responding to unique crises on a case-by case basis. We connect people with available community resources and fill gaps in e

xisting services.

• Family Support & Connections - encouraging positive homes by coaching families to meet the challenges of life. Individual plans build on the strengths of a family so we can work together to find solutions.

• Representative Payee - helping fixed income individuals develop and maintain a budget to effectively manage their resources and save for future needs.

• Resource Guide - connecting neighbors with neighbors, KLCAS distributes over 10,000 guides a year with information about vital resources in Klamath and Lake Counties.

The last day to apply for energy assistance for summer cooling is August 31. We are not accepting any new applications after that date.

We will be mailing winter heating application packets to our senior/disabled mailing in late October and will begin accepting applications from senior/disabled community members on November 1. If you would like to be added to our mailing list, please email your name and mailing address to [email protected].

We will begin accepting applications from everyone else on December 1.

Our office will be closed on Wednesday, August 19 from 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm.
Our lobby will be open on Thursday, August 20th at 9:00 am.
Any communications received on Wednesday afternoon will be returned by 5:00 pm on Friday, August 21.
