One of the cool things of being on the airfield, we get to see some awesome aircraft! Like this, a BO105 helicopter has a distinct sound, we heard it, then saw The Red Bull Stunt BO105. Went and talked with the pilots, lead stunt pilot flying with his son who's learning to be a pilot! And they thought our OshKosh Crash truck was pretty awesome themselves! Pretty cool opportunity!! 🔥🔥Congested traffic on roads near the Wrights Spring Fire is dangerous for firefighters and dangerous for you!

Fire behavior can be unpredictable. Non-fire personnel on roads near the fire increases suppression complexity for firefighters, heavy equipment, and aerial attack. AND it can put you in danger, as well.

Firefighter safety remains a top priority. The public is asked to avoid areas around the to ensure firefighters can do their jobs with no obstructions or distractions.

Think before you go! 🔥🔥🔥

Important information from fire officials on the Wrights Spring Fire in Klamath County---

"The Wrights Spring Fire is threatening a key communications site near Swan Lake. If the fire reaches and damages it, parts of the area could lose cell service, including Verizon and AT&T, along with 911, dispatch communications, and ODOT communications. That also means some residents may not receive evacuation alerts through their devices, and it could be harder to reach 911 in affected areas."

This could make it challenging for members to know if they need to evacuate as well as cause difficulties for us to contact them during this emergency... Please pass this information down through your chains”
