Morning update from NWS Houston/ Galveston:

Rain and thunderstorms today. The atmosphere could become unstable enough to support possible strong to severe thunderstorm development (levels 2 and 3 out of 5) with the best chance in the late morning through late afternoon or early evening hours. Damaging wind gusts, isolated tornadoes and large hail are the primary concern. In addition, locally heavy rainfall will be possible. Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches are expected across parts of the area, and locally higher amounts (4 to 6 inches) could lead to some localized flooding especially where multiple rounds of strong/severe storms occur. At this time, the risk area for heavy rainfall looks to be closer to the coast and offshore.

This event should eventually come to an end from west to east in the afternoon and evening hours, especially the further inland (to the north and west) you go.

From AlertHouston:

The National Weather Service has advised of the possibility of damaging winds and tornadoes in the Greater Houston area on Thursday, November 30. While the area may see widespread rain, major flooding is not expected. Residents should monitor local media for forecast updates and safety information, such as sheltering in place. Be ready to shelter in an interior room away from windows if your area is under a warning or a tornado is sighted.

Update: Owners were identified and should be reunited with him now.

This little guy was found in the yard at Klein Station 35 (8230 Spring Stuebner) by the 72 crew. He has a chip but it’s not registered. He is playful and very sweet. We are not able to permanently keep pets at stations for their safety, so hopefully someone will recognize him and the owners can claim him.
