🌟 A Huge Thank You to JDE Maintenance, LLC! 🌟

When Glen Cove Cemetery needed help at the 11th hour to get the grounds trimmed before the 4th of July, JDE Maintenance, LLC didn’t hesitate.

Jacob Dobbins and a crew of seven hardworking men showed up at dusk yesterday with lights blazing and worked straight through the night — all the way until 5 a.m. — to make sure our cemetery was ready for families visiting over the holiday weekend.

Their dedication, stamina, and pride in their work are nothing short of remarkable. They went above and beyond, answering the call when it mattered most and treating our community’s resting place with the respect it deserves.

Kudos to Jacob and his entire crew for stepping up, working through the night, and delivering exceptional results. Knightstown is grateful for you.

As we prepare to welcome families for Memorial Day, we want to give a heartfelt shout‑out to Elvis, currently our one and only cemetery employee, for working tirelessly to get Glen Cove looking beautiful. Even with the rain, he pushed through and made sure the grounds were mowed and ready for this important weekend of remembrance.

We also extend sincere thanks to Clerk‑Treasurer Bart Whitesett for his creative budgeting that allowed us to bring in Turf Pro to weed‑whack around the tombstones. Their work ensures our veterans’ and loved ones’ resting places are treated with the dignity and care they deserve.

It takes dedication, teamwork, and heart to keep our cemetery looking its best — and we are grateful for both of these men for making it happen.

🌸 A Huge Thank You to the Knightstown Police Department 🌸
The Glen Cove Heritage Foundation extends our heartfelt appreciation to the Knightstown Police Department and citizen volunteers for stepping in to plant flowers at the cemetery's north gate in time for Memorial Day.
With our small GCHF volunteer team, as well as town staff stretched thin, their willingness to jump in made all the difference. Captain John Davis even donated the mulch to complete the project.
Today, they helped create a beautiful, welcoming space that reflects the pride we all share in our community.
Thank you, KPD and volunteers, for your dedication, generosity, and community spirit. Knightstown is better because of you. 🌼
