Knowles Fire Department

Knowles Fire Department Knowles Volunteer Fire Department Knowles Volunteer Fire Department was established in 1895. We hold practice every Tuesday night at 8 pm.

We currently provide Fire protection and prevention to the Township of Lomira and Leroy, and Mutual aid to departments across Dodge, Fond du Lac, and Washington Counties. We are a completely Volunteer organization, meaning our members receive no compensation what soever for their time and efforts. Just a true desire to serve their community in the best way they can. We hold an annual 4th of July p

icnic and a spring and fall raffle and fun night. The Knowles Fire Department is a private Fire Department meaning that we have contracts with the townships we serve. All our funding comes from our contracts, fundraisers, and generous donations from people and businesses in the community. If you are interested in joining this great organization contact any one of the proud Knowles Fire Fighters and they will be happy to help you get stated in this rewarding Department!

Just an FYI for anyone who walks with their dogs and or children on the fire department land back to the radio tower, this guy ran from the tower to the corn field and then watched me mow lawn for about 20 minutes this morning.

The saying goes "it takes a village", well what an amazing community we have!!! Thank you to everybody who came out and celebrated America's 250th in the tiny town of Knowles. What a crowd for the parade, it is always amazing to see how many people come to see the parade and how it grows every year. And an even bigger thank you to all the people who volunteered to help us make the picnic the event that it is. We can't do it without you. I can't say it enough, thank you so much for helping make the Knowles Volunteer Fire Dept 4th of July Parade and Picnic the amazing event that it is. We look forward to seeing you all again next year!!!!

T-shirts are ready for pickup. Someone is at the firehouse rightnow until 9pm for pickup. Please use the backdoor by the parking lot. We will be there again tomorrow from 7 to 9 pm.

So we have an update to the Parade. We have postponed the start of the Parade to 11:10 AM. But it will be worth it!!! Firefighter Roger has been working hard to secure a flyover to start the parade this year!!!!! The 115th Fighter Wing out of Madison has Volunteered to start our parade this year with a flyover of the parade route!!! Weather permitting they will be flying over the parade route at 11:10 AM to signal the start of the parade. Come early and get a good seat, We can't wait to see you all there!!!!
