ROAD CLOSURE - State Road 23 in Starke County & State Road 10 in Marshall County

State Road 23 will be closed between State Road 8 and U.S. 30 starting on or after Monday, August 31. State Road 10 will be closed between Juniper Rd and State Road 19 starting on or after Wednesday, September 2.

Scrub seal operations will take place for approximately two days on each roadway during the hours of 6am to 6pm. Motorists should seek alternate routes.

A new law requires one-third of Indiana’s townships to merge. Local stakeholders in St. Joseph County gathered to discuss how that mandate could affect their communities.

⚠️A few storms may be strong to locally severe later this afternoon into overnight tonight. This morning we are currently watching a storm complex across Iowa which will eventually move into Illinois this afternoon. It is currently unclear how strong it will be by the time it reaches western Indiana. Despite severity, flooding will be a big concern this evening into overnight tonight! Training thunderstorms are expected to develop across similar areas that saw considerable and even catastrophic flooding yesterday. Some areas may see an additional 1-4" of rain by tomorrow morning.
