Congratulations to Band Director Craige Phipps! He was recently selected as a state winner of NFHS Heart of the Arts Award, in addition to being named Michiana Outstanding Music Educator Award.

Craige Phipps is a visionary educator who champions inclusive arts education through his “Life Skills Through Performing Arts” program. By tailoring instruction to students with special needs, he fosters confidence, independence, and communication skills. A dedicated mentor and clinician, Craige’s student‑first philosophy extends beyond the classroom through philanthropic service. His innovative leadership ensures all students can succeed through the arts."

The school board recognized the 4th Grade Math Bowl team. They did an outstanding job in Chesterton getting first place in our region. We are in the yellow group which means we are 4th graders competing against kids up to 6th grade on 7th grade standard math problems. This is the 4th year for Math Bowl here at Knox and our team last night scored the highest score any Knox team has ever gotten! We finished in the top 20 in the state in our division! The team members are....
Walker, Cailynn, Dani, Scarlett, Victoria, Paisley, Angie, Christopher, Conor, Oliver, Tesla, Emma, Lena, & Jaiyden.

Kudos to our senior baseball and track and field athletes for their years of participation and for representing Knox with integrity. We also acknowledge with gratitude the families who have supported them throughout their journey.

Unfortunate announcement is the cancellation of this year's KMS Block Party which was scheduled for May 22. It is our sincere hope to bring the Block Party back at the end of next school year.

Knox Community School Corporation would like to welcome Dr. Aaron Esper to the KCSC family as our Assistant Superintendent for the 2026–27 school year.

Dr. Esper is a graduate of Knox High School and currently serves as the North Central CTE Director. We are excited about the knowledge, leadership, and experience he will bring to KCSC as we continue working to enhance student achievement and performance across the corporation.
