The Clarion County Sportsmen for Youth will be hosting an Advanced Instruction Clinic in TRAPPING with Autumn McEntee and the PA Trappers Association and PTA NextGen Committee for 50 kids age 12-18. The clinic is aimed at teaching well rounded trapping and fur taking techniques to youth who are interested in participating in trapping and fur taking. The event will consist of both instruction and hands-on learning. Topics to be covered include: history, trap prep, baiting, track identification, patterning, fur taking regulations, fur preparation, etc..
The FREE event will be held Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 537 Rankin Rd New Bethlehem, PA 16242 from 8:00am-2:00 pm. Lunch will be provided. Equipment and instruction will be provided by PA trappers Association.
A chaperone must accompany the child to the event. A parental liability release will need to be downloaded upon successful registration. The release should be printed, completed, and emailed to us prior to the event.
Only 50 registrations will be accepted. Those applicants who are not successful in the first round of registration will be added to the waitlist in case a spot becomes available prior to the event.
